Small seasonal resorts are struggling to remain open and worthwhile, there are different ways to survive financially that are being tested in Switzerland. We decided to talk about the Pass St-Bernard, for its will to stay independent as a small community.
The objectives of the Pass are to get people’s attention on the St-Bernard region and to make it more accessible. It is very attractive due to its low cost and the wide variety of offers it gives access to. It distinguishes itself by promoting both the summer and winter activities and emphasizes on the fact some can be practiced all year round. This has the advantage to reduce the number of cold beds and does not only benefit the ski resorts but also the whole regional economy.
